The decision

A polished draft can still rest on weak strategic assumptions.

A document can be fluent, professional and internally consistent while still misrepresenting the audience, proposition or market position it is meant to support.

We assess the strength of the thinking and evidence, regardless of how the draft was produced. Material written by a founder, employee, supplier or AI tool can all carry untested assumptions, generic claims or gaps between what the business means and what the reader will understand.

This review examines the strategic logic and the way it has been expressed. It identifies what can remain, what needs clarification and what requires further work before use.

  • Does the material reflect the business accurately?
  • Are the central claims clear and supportable?
  • Could a credible competitor make the same claims?
  • What needs attention before the draft is used?

What you receive

A structured strategic assessment.

We identify what you can retain, what requires clarification and which amendments should take priority.

  • You have an existing brand, positioning or marketing draft.
  • The material was written by you, your team, a supplier or with AI.
  • You need an independent assessment before publishing, briefing or investing further.
  • You want a prioritised amendment brief rather than a rewrite.

Choose broader support when…

  • There is no substantive draft to review.
  • The underlying positioning or strategy has not been decided.
  • The work requires primary research or a wider diagnostic.
  • You need replacement copy or a complete strategy developed.

Named case-study partnership

The complete review at half the standard fee.

Case-study partner fee: £125. Standard fee: £250. This is a named, non-anonymised case-study partnership. The reduced rate reflects the participant’s agreement to be publicly identified and to provide the evidence needed to show the work credibly; the scope of the review itself is unchanged.

Selected partner fee£125Standard fee £250

What participation requires

  • Honest and detailed written feedback after the review is delivered.
  • One detailed written progress update within 60 days, where implementation has begun.
  • Permission to publish a named case study covering the brief, the review and reported progress.
  • Permission to identify the business by name, display its logo and publish accurate attributed extracts from the feedback.
  • A factual-accuracy review before publication. The case study will state that the reduced partner rate was provided.

Named evidence is essential

This partner rate is only suitable if your business can be publicly identified. The business name and logo will appear with the case study, together with the relevant commercial context and results needed to evidence the work. Information unrelated to the agreed case-study scope will remain confidential.

Apply for the partner rate

Applications are assessed for suitability. The standard £250 Strategic Draft Review remains available where public identification is unsuitable.

Common questions

The Strategic Draft Review, answered.

What is a Strategic Draft Review?

A Strategic Draft Review is an independent written review of brand or marketing material you have already drafted, often with AI. We assess what is right, what is generic, what is missing and what to fix first, against a professional standard. It is a fixed £250, delivered remotely.

Is £250 the total?

Yes. The Strategic Draft Review is a fixed £250, and that is the total payable. No VAT is added, as we are not VAT registered. It reviews the material you supply rather than researching or rewriting it from scratch, which keeps the fee fixed.

Will you rewrite my draft for me?

No. A Strategic Draft Review gives you an expert written assessment and clear direction on what to change and why, so you can improve the draft yourself or brief someone to. If you would rather the positioning were built from the ground up, Brand Positioning is the better route.

Is there a partner rate for the Strategic Draft Review?

Yes. Selected businesses that agree to a named, published case study pay £125 instead of £250. The scope is unchanged. Applications are assessed for suitability, and the standard fee remains available to any business that prefers not to be identified.
